THE CUSTOMER

The customer is a Dutch company that produces innovative high-efficiency electrolysers for the production of green hydrogen from renewable sources.

 

THE NEED

In addition to its function as a hydrogen producer, the customer’s electrolyser is able to switch from hydrogen producer to electricity supplier, functioning as a BESS system for energy storage.
The customer’s need, therefore, is to protect the system from any surges and/or overcurrents generated in the grid.

 

OUR SOLUTION

In order to protect the system from any overvoltages and/or overcurrents generated in the network, an isolation transformer specifically designed to perform this function must be incorporated into the system.

Below are the main characteristics of the isolating transformer supplied by Ortea:
