THE CLIENT
One of the world’s leading IT groups, developing a major data centre project in Singapore where 24/7 service continuity is a core design requirement.
THE NEED
Mission-critical infrastructure requires a stable power supply, electrical isolation and reliable management of loads typical of IT environments (UPS, servers and switching power supplies). The customer required transformers that would enhance resilience and power quality, provide galvanic isolation for sensitive loads, offer adaptability to incoming grid conditions, and include robust thermal monitoring to prevent overheating and extend service life.
OUR SOLUTION
Ortea supplied 13 three-phase 75 kVA isolation transformers designed for critical applications. Primary-side tappings (±2 × 2.5%) allow adaptation to different input voltages while keeping a stable 415 V output. Each unit features double electrostatic shielding (earthed) to improve EMI attenuation, insulation class H, and an advanced thermal management set-up with PT100 probes and side extraction fans. Anti-vibration/anti-seismic pads complete the design, supporting mechanical stability and long-term operational continuity.
