VOLTAGE STABILISER FOR A POULTRY COMPANY IN GUATEMALA

THE CLIENT

A major poultry company located in Guatemala.

THE NEED

A leading poultry company was facing continuous voltage fluctuations in the electrical network, with values ranging from 190V to 210V, lower than the 240V required for full production efficiency. These fluctuations repeatedly activated the diesel generators, increasing operating costs and CO2 emissions. Daily diesel consumption exceeded 70 gallons, resulting in significant annual expenditure and increased wear and tear on equipment.

OUR SOLUTION

The solution offered by Ortea Next was the installation of a 300kVA Orion Plus voltage regulator, which immediately stabilised the power supply at a constant 240V. This technology, designed and manufactured in Italy to the most rigorous certified quality standards, eliminates the risk of blackouts and reduces dependence on emergency power generation systems.

The adoption of the Ortea Next stabiliser generated immediate savings: in just 10 days, the customer cut fuel costs by over Q18,000 (≈£1,500). The investment, amounting to Q507,000 (≈€60,500), paid for itself in less than 9 months thanks to the elimination of generator maintenance and fuel costs. In addition, the elimination of diesel emissions directly contributes to reducing the environmental impact of production.
