THE NEED
The substations are part of a hybrid generation system that generates surge-oriented voltage fluctuations. The customer needed to stabilise these fluctuations while having limited space to place the equipment.
OUR SOLUTION
The solution proposed by Ortea was to install two 1500Kva Sirius model voltage stabilisers, designed for an input voltage variation of +30%/-15% and with an operating frequency of 60Hz. This particular design requires large magnetic components; in fact, the stabilisers were housed in two 6000x1000x2100h mm cabins.
For logistical limitations in the installation procedure at the customer’s site, the voltage stabilisers were designed so that they could be divided into three parts.
