THE NEED
The customer had multiple plant downtimes, dependent on the poor quality of the energy supplied from the grid, resulting in production and economic losses.
OUR SOLUTION
In order to remedy this situation, Ortea carried out an analysis of the system and identified the main cause as the approximately 250 voltage dips the company’s electrical system was subjected to over the course of a year. The proposed solution was to install an Oxygen voltage dip compensator.
The equipment supplied by Ortea is a 1000kVA Oxygen K with ±10% DC input voltage compensation and voltage dips coverage up to -40% for 1 minute equipped with input and output circuit breaker and manual bypass line with interlocked circuit breaker.
