The plant was frequently affected by micro interruptions (very short-duration power disturbances) capable of shutting down sensitive equipment. These events disrupted production lines, causing machine downtime, scrap, and financial losses.
OUR SOLUTION
To ensure operational continuity and improve power quality, Ortea supplied a 500kVA, 480V, 60Hz Oxygen Zero, specially engineered for the North American market and customized to meet the plant’s specific requirements.
Compared to the standard model, the system included:

Extended compensation up to 3 seconds, thanks to an enhanced supercapacitor bank;

Automatic circuit breakers at input and output, ensuring safe and automated power management;

Integrated bypass system, guaranteeing continuity even during technical interventions or maintenance;

Dual power quality analyzers, for continuous and accurate monitoring of power supply quality.
Thanks to its <2ms response time, high efficiency, and battery-free design, Oxygen Zero proved to be the ideal solution to eliminate the risk of micro outages and ensure maximum productivity and reliability in power-sensitive industrial environments.
