As part of the development of the servitization project, a new agreement has been signed with a major hardware and software provider that will enable Ortea Next’s IoT services to take the final step into the future.
Thanks to the adoption of Edge Computing architecture, data processing will move from the cloud to the machine-mounted device, resulting in lighter transmission bandwidth and the elimination of communication errors.
This will be possible through the installation of multifunctional bidirectional IoT devices with high computing power on the machine. As an example, it will be possible to remotely launch massive firmware updates and expand the range of detectable quantities.
The current Enercloud and Orteacloud monitoring platforms will merge within the new Ortea XCloud platform.
