A TAILOR-MADE SOLUTION FOR AN INSTITUTIONAL SITE IN CENTRAL AFRICA
Ortea recently delivered an innovative 2500 kVA Sirius voltage stabiliser for an institutional site in Central Africa. This important project, carried out in collaboration with a long-standing partner, once again demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing advanced, customised technological solutions for customers around the world.
SPECIAL DESIGN FEATURES
The designed Sirius automatic voltage regulator (AVR) provides ±20% input voltage regulation, which guarantees optimal performance even in the presence of significant mains fluctuations. However, one of the most innovative features of the system is its modular design, which allows the voltage regulation part to be replaced without affecting the power centre part. This physical separability is a first in the industry, ensuring easier maintenance and reduced costs for any future interventions.
POWER CENTRE CONFIGURATION: SAFETY AND CONTROL
The power centre, developed at the specific request of the customer, was designed with two separate output lines, each protected by a dedicated circuit breaker. In addition, the system is equipped with a total protection kit that includes:
- Input and output circuit breaker;
- Bypass switch.
These features guarantee complete protection and safe operation of the system.
The machine is also equipped with two power quality analysers that provide certified measurements that are essential for monitoring system performance.
UL-CERTIFIED COMPONENTS AND IMPRESSIVE SPECIFICATIONS
The circuit breakers and power components used in the system are all UL certified, synonymous with international quality and reliability. The entire machine has significant dimensions, with an overall length of 7.8 metres and a total weight of approximately 10 tonnes, demonstrating the complexity and robustness of the design.
